Thomas (Tommy) Landry

Thomas (Tommy, for his family) Landry from Dieppe, formerly from l’Anse-des-Cormier, Memramcook, died suddenly at the Moncton Hospital, at the age of 69, on Wednesday May 24, 2023. Born on May 9, 1954, he was the son of the late Thomas Landry and Florence (Cormier) Landry.

He is survived by six sisters, Jeannette Landry and Simonne (Rick) McGillivray, both from Moncton, Rachel (Paul) Trott and Lucille (Keith) MacDonald, both from Ontario, Marcia (Richard) Bourque from Aulac and Alva (Mike) Morrison from Memramcook, four brothers, Jean (Janita) from Dieppe, Donald from Sackville, Robert from Dieppe and Louis (Diane) from Taylor Village, and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Paul (Stella) from Memramcook. Thank to Guy and Peter for their friendship.

He worked in the field of construction, building inspection and drawing up of building and house plans, and he had set up his own company Designed Solutions Inc. where he worked until his retirement. Tommy also helped fund raise and organize events for the Volcanes Kids Education Program school in the Puerto Vallarta, Mexico area. Tom designed the new Community/Event Hall & Library at the school and helped organize many holiday events over the years for the Children. Tom also traveled over the years exploring many places and enjoyed seeing the architecture of different cultures.

Funeral services are provided by the Dupuis Funeral Home from Memramcook. There will be celebration of life at Dupuis Funeral Home in Memramcook NB on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. As per his wishes, his ashes will rest in the Parish Cemetery, near his beloved parents, Thomas et Florence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Volcanis School for Kids, Mexico, donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
