Anne Junjek

Anne Geraldine Junjek (68) was born March 31,1955 in Joliet, Illinois and died accidentally at her home on May 9, 2023. Anne had resided on rue Pre d’en Haut in Memramcook since 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Savanna Junjek and her grand-daughter, Kiarra Mary-Louise Simard of Vancouver. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Junjek-Connelly (2014) and her father, Stanley Junjek (1976).

Anne could be described as a modern day “renaissance woman” with a wide variety of interests in art in general including painting and other fine arts, music and she read extensively from her own collection and the public library. She had a wide circle of friends from south east NB as well as the Maritimes and Ontario to BC, the USA and China.

Over the years she resided in the US, Toronto (20+ years) and Murray Corner. For over 20 years she was an active resident of Sackville NB, receiving the town’s “Good Neighbour Award” in 1998. She moved to Memramcook in 2010 to be closer to work.

Anne had an eclectic employment record over the years working as a bar tender in Toronto, the Little Shemogue Inn, Sackville Memorial Hospital and briefly for Mount Allison University and Dieppe Walmart. She met many friends during her 17 years with Jacob’s Larder in Sackville ending her working career after 12 years with Belliveau Orchard in Memramcook.

A graveyard service was held for family and a few close friends at the Notre Dame de L’Annonciation Cemetery in Memramcook (Pre’d’en Haut) on 26 May 2023. Arrangements by Maison Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 Route La Vallee, Memramcook NB.
